What is Crystal Healing?
Crystals have been used for thousands of years to restore health and balance at all levels; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The practice of using crystals to heal has been seen since the very early days of humanity, in the form of amulets and talismans. The metaphysical powers of crystals were no mystery to most ancient cultures including the Egyptians, Mayans and Sumerians who regularly adorned their bodies, jewellery and buildings with these sacred stones.
Crystals have often been described as the ‘flowers of the mineral kingdom’.
Like all matter in the 3rd dimensional world, all life and crystals are composed of minute particles called atoms. These building blocks of the physical plane are made up of even smaller particles called protons, neutrons, and electrons. These are subtle vibrations. The entire physical world is created from different variations and combinations of these atoms. Everything is vibrating at a different speed. The terminated peak of the crystal connects and aligns each molecule, atom, proton, neutron and electron that comprises the crystal to the Universal Source of infinite energy. Crystals are capable of receiving, containing, projecting, emanating, refracting, and reflecting light, which is the highest form of energy known in the physical universe.
Crystal energy is very pure and of a high vibration, crystals contain universal energy each one having its own special life force or property. When it is used it will raise the energy field of the lower vibration, bringing about healing. Crystals work with the human energy field and can move, absorb, focus, direct and diffuse energy within the body. Working with crystalline energy helps the body to find it’s natural rhythm.
Crystal healing is basically the ‘laying on’ of stones of different vibrational rates onto the body in order to effect healing and change. It may also involve laying out different energy grids or specific patterns of crystals around the body. By using grids, the combination of the stones can enhance their individual properties, and direct energy.
Crystal healing works by bringing back into equilibrium all the separate elements of the body, utilizing universal energetic forces that are encoded into the crystals. The crystals help to amplify universal energy that is then directed back into your body and redirect any energy imbalances.
The information field of a crystal interacts with that of a human being or a particular environment, with each part influencing the other. This can work at a distance, powered by intention and consciousness.
Crystal and Quantum Physics

The nervous system is attuned to these shifts in energy and transmits this information to the brain. How Healing Crystals Work
Depending on the crystal’s overall structure and properties, it may provide you with exactly the natural healing you need. Each crystal has a unique internal structure that impacts how the stone resonates, the kind of energy that it attracts, and the way it clears negativity, by either repelling or absorbing it. The clarity and transparency of many crystals makes them very powerful transmitters and receivers of elemental energy. The healing properties of various types, shapes, and colors of crystals are numerous. These unique properties create a specific frequency that gives crystals their ability to heal.
Crystals act as conduits for healing — allowing positive, healing energy to flow into the body as negative, disease-causing energy flows out.
The energy field (otherwise known as the aura) that surrounds, penetrates, and binds the body-mind-spirit is in a perpetual state of activity. It is constantly in motion, continuously taking in and sending out vibrating energy waves through openings in the aura (otherwise known as chakras). Rotating at different speeds, these chakra points release energies, imparting the body with its precious life forces. Chakras are connected by meridians of life energy, or chi that flow through the body. While your chakras can become blocked from stress or anxiety, using crystals in meditation or bodywork is thought to help balance these energy points, promoting health, happiness and well being.
Crystals act as amplifiers when brought into contact with the human body’s chakra system.
In crystal healing, I work in partnership with them by placing them on or near the body in order to effect healing change. They do this by allowing the rate of their vibration to effect change in the rate of the spinning energy centers of the chakras, clearing out any negativity and allowing them to function at peak capacity. We need to be in balance to be in perfect health. Crystals work with us to restore that balance.
Memories can be held in our cells, joints and bones. As each cell in our bodies has consciousness, so it can hold memory. This is now being scientifically demonstrated by Quantum Physics. A good example of this concept can be found in the images of water crystals. Crystals can help to free up what has become stuck.
Primary ways healing crystals can transform your energy and resolve imbalance:
Clearing – Crystals have the ability to absorb and remove certain types of energy from your body. Like a magnet can pick up little pieces of metal shavings, a healing crystal can absorb negative energy from your body.
Energizing – Healing crystals and stones can also push energy into your body, mind or spirit through inducing resonant frequencies. This is similar to the way electricity works by conducting and transferring energy into an object. A crystal can harness energy from the quantum field and send it into your own energy field. Don’t worry, unlike electricity, this crystal healing energy is painless and not dangerous.
Balancing – Our world is very symmetrical. Look at the leaves on trees or even your body. The energy of our planet aligns things in a mirrored pattern. Sometimes, your energy may be misaligned and out of balance, and healing crystals can use the properties mentioned above, which are essentially attracting and repelling, to balance out areas of energetic disharmony.
Crystal Healing Session
During this initial period of conscious discussion and evaluation we clarify the various problems or issues to be addressed. We shall sit and connect over tea and I will gently guide you in a process of inner inquiry which will uncover any particular problems or issues to be dealt with in the session. You will be invited to be fully present to the process, feel the charge in the body and allow the emotions and sensations relating to the issue to come up and fully feel them to make space for new energy to flow and for you to blossom.
At the beginning of a session your energy field (aura) is cleansed. Using my intuitive abilities I then connect with you energetically and read your energy field by passing a hand gently above the surface of your body, noting any sensations or imbalances.
A session begins with gentle relaxation techniques to calm the mind and body (for example guided breathwork, meditation and smudging).
With intuition as a guiding force, a session may be a blend of Crystal Healing, Reiki, Chakra Balancing and Aromatherapy to achieve a complete balancing of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being.
I will be guided by my intuitive self to the select crystals which are suitable for each client to balance and cleanse the clients energy body. I tune into the clients energy and then select the crystals I am guided to. Each crystal healing is unique as no two crystal healing sessions are ever the same.
During a session the recipient is fully clothed and lying down. A session will begin with a rebalancing of your chakras, before crystals are placed on and around the body and will also be held over various parts of the body, directing the crystals energy into the the recipient, to help synchronise and balance the seven chakras and heal and clear energy fields.
The crystals will be left in place for a certain amount of time (this will depend on your circumstances but can be anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour). During this time you are encouraged to breathe deeply and simply relax.
Crystals are gentle and non intrusive. Many clients report feeling sensations of heat, tingling and lightness to a sense of deep peace and well being. Some experience feelings of being supported and nurtured, whilst others may experience seeing colours or visions of images. Some clients feel nothing at all and some feel so relaxed they fall asleep. Some may have an emotional response, indicating that shifts are taking place, allowing harmony to be restored. The feelings people can feel are endless and can be different from session to session.
Each session is completed with grounding and bringing into consciousness the newly awakened life force.
Deep energetic protection is given at the end of the session, followed by healing recommendations for those chakras that most need conscious care from you.

Aura Cleansing with Crystals
The Aura is an energy field that surrounds the body.
We are all interconnected and our auras, or the human energy field, constantly interact with the energy field of other beings and the environment.
So, our energy field is affected by interactions with other beings as well our physical environment - electromagnetic pollution, air quality, water quality, food we eat and also our own emotional state.
Just as we take care of our physical body, we need to take care of our energy body on regular basis.
The Aura can be charged or cleansed by wearing gemstone jewellery and indeed placing a crystal near your auric field like carrying a crystal in your pocket. The frequency and duration with which a crystal is worn/carried or handled determines the level of attunement which is attainable with that crystal. Attuning to a crystal facilitates the energizing of ones aura with the energies contained within the crystal.
The Aura can be scanned with a crystal in order to determine the energy blockages and to check for the existence of auric holes which allow the drain of energy from the physical body. Crystals are used to cleanse and stabilise the aura. I will be guided by my intuitive self to select additional crystals which are suitable for balancing, cleansing, stabilizing, scanning and correcting any problematic areas in the aura.
